Certification in Discreet 3D Studio Max Low Polygon Game Modeling & Discreet Character Studio.
Certification in Discreet Combustion Digital Compositing.
(1998) 5 week intensive study of SoftImage|3D (while working for Artsource/Microsoft).

1998 Bill Fleming's 3D Creature Workshop, Mastering 3D Graphics (online classes, now defunct) applied to Lightwave 3D.

Film Animation Major--studied film-making, traditional animation, and computer graphics.

1988-1991 De Anza College
Film/Video Major--studied film-making, traditional animation, art, screenwriting, and film analysis.
Side note: participated in an animation group named "Studio Goof Haus", acting as director and storyboarder of a project by the group.

1984-1988 Cupertino High School (curently under reconstruction!)
Focused on art and writing, and ran an anime club at the school in 1987. Also participated as a cellist in the school orchestra.
Side note: began actively participating in the anime fandom community after attending the anime program at Baycon 1986.

1982-1984 Hyde Jr. High School
Joined orchestra as a cellist and learned to read music. Focused on learning to draw perspective, writing.
Side note: Outside school, I began collecting anime paraphanelia from Space Cruiser Yamato and Super Dimensional Fortress Macross.

1978-1982 Eaton Elementary School
In school did a lot of writing, and was selected to represent the school at a seminar for talented young writers.
Side note: First learned about Japanese origins of the Star Blazers series as "Space Cruiser Yamato" and Micronauts as "Microman" from Japanese American classmates, sparking my interest in Japanese pop culture.

1975-1977 Laneview Elementary School
Side note: During these earliest years of school I first became exposed to the Micronauts toyline and Star Blazers animated series.
